So if you know me at all, you know that I am obsessed with a little boy named Jake. I have been baby sitting Jake since he came home from the hospital. I became quite attached with him the summer he was born. He is now almost two and the sweetest thing ever. I couldn't help but blog about him and show you some of his recent pictures :)

Love this little red head!

Blue Hawaii

Blue Hawaii!!!
Every year the FHU Lady Lions takes a little trip to somewhere cool and play some Christmas games. My freshmen year we went to South Padre, TX and my sophomore year we went to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This year though, was the best place of all- HAWAII!!! We were all very excited about this trip. The first few days consisted of practice and playing for the girls. The two teams we played and defeated were Pacific University and William-Carey College. After these two games was when the real fun began! I was also very excited about this trip because my mom got to go also! Throughout the trip we were able to do a lot of fun things, but I am just going to show you some of my favorite highlights!

One of the first few days we hit up Pearl Harbor which was a neat experience. I went once before when I was five so I didn't really remember it. This picture is of us girls with one of the veterans that was there that day. He was very sweet!

In one of the brochures we read, we saw were there was a waterfall we could hike to so me, my mom, and Kenzie decided to do this one day! It was a long hike in flip flops but we were glad we did it! There was a funny story with this little adventure though. It just so happened that we could not get a taxi or bus to come back and get us from this place so well......WE HITCH HIKED BACK!!! Yes, flagged someone down and got in their vehicle!! Oh and it was President Obama's relative.... That is the short version of the story..It was a pretty hilarious experience!

We decided to hike up diamond head one day! Great view!

One night the team went to a Luau! Very fun!

Me, Kenzie, and Meribeth with some of the dancers from the show.

The next few pictures are from our island tour. It was a really neat thing. We loaded up on a big charter bus one morning and road around the island all day. We made many stops and we able to experience some of Hawaii's neatest things!

The picture of me and my beautiful mother was taking on the North Shore.

These are some of the sweet friends I have made while being apart of the FHU Lady Lions: Leslie Morgan, Tara Deatheridge, Kenzie Ziegler, and Hannah Parsley.

This was a very fun trip and I hope to make it back to Hawaii sometime!

ROSE BOWL!!

I can finally claim to be a national champion!!

My team finally did it! I always bragged about Alabama's 12 national championships but never really got to experience one. The last time Alabama played in a national championship game was in 1992 when I was 3. This year was finally my year though. My dad and I have been going to games for as long as I can remember. This year we got season tickets and went to all of the home games plus the national championship. I wasn't about to let this opportunity pass us by either. So after working somethings out and deciding it would be my Christmas, birthday, and every event for the rest of my life present my dad got 2 tickets to the 2010 Rose Bowl in Pasadena to watch my Crimson Tide play the Texas longhorns. I must say it was the best experience of my life! We packed up along with Jamy Reynoldson and Little Man and headed off to California for a week!

Outside the Rose Bowl!

Happened to run into Cowboy Troy at the game! He was a longhorn fan :(

Secretly trying to hide this from the Texas fans! He was pumped!

Finally! I have been waiting for this picture a long time!!

I am new at this blog thing, but I thought I would give it a shot. First, I wanted to tell you a little bit about me. I attend Freed- Hardeman University where I will be graduating from in May with a nursing degree. The first year there I played for the Lady Lions which was a very neat experience. I have met some amazing people while at FHU and wouldn't trade it for anything. Other things you should know about me: I am a HUGE Alabama football fan, 2 kids by the name of Elli Grace and Jake have my heart, I love sleeping, being with my family, and traveling!
I come from what I believe is the greatest family God ever created. My dad, Sid, is the most amazing man on this planet. He is a strong Christian and a great example to my family. He is a pharmacist in Parsons, TN. My mom, Sheri, is also the most amazing woman on this planet (I think I show favoritism but that is how I feel!). She is definitely one of my best friends and I couldn't live without her. She is 5th grade teacher at Briarwood school. My sister, Krista, is the bomb.com. She really is one of the coolest people I know. She works in Nashville at a law-firm. I am so lucky to have such a great Christian family!

The next person you should know about is my best friend, Adam Blackburn.
I met Adam my freshmen year at FHU. He caught my attention by making a "Bama is not good joke" outside of the student center and the rest is history. We got engaged on June 6 of last summer and will be getting married on July 10. He is a great person and definitely the person I am meant to spend the rest of my life. Adam has played baseball for Freed for 4 years and plans on teaching after graduating in May.

Well, that is really all I know to post on my first blog. I plan on adding some recent events on here soon!
